Head of School:  CAROLYN BORLO

B.A., French, Spanish, Lake Erie College ; M.A.T., French, Colgate University ; M.A.Ed., Humanities, New York University .  Certification:  New York and New Jersey to teach French.  Mrs. Borlo has taught French, Spanish, Humanities, etc., at Wilson to grades PK-12 since 1978.  She served as Director of the Upper School , the Middle School and the all-school Director before accepting the position as Head of School in 1998. 

Business Manager:  LINDA MYERS

B.A., Natural Science and Math, Thomas Edison State College.   Special interests include perennial flower gardening, local and national environmental issues, traveling, photography, snorkeling, scuba diving and yoga.  Mrs. Myers is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance and was trained and is certified to teach the Yoga Ed. program.  She became the Yoga instructor at Wilson in 2003.  

Director of Admissions/Marketing:  CHRISTOPHER VAKULCHIK 

B.S., Engineering Science, New Jersey Institute of Technology, M.A. Ed, Curriculum Design, University of Phoenix (in progress).   Mr. Vakulchik comes to The Wilson school after many years in the Education Industry.  Prior to joining The Wilson School staff, he served as Executive Director of a Vocational School.  He has worked as a freelance teacher/tutor and trainer for The Princeton Review test preparation company since 1995.

Director of Technology:  CATHY VARGA

B.S.B.A. Business Administration, Bucknell University.

Senior Instructor, Computer Programming and Business Applications, The Chubb Institute. 

Certified Technical Trainer, NJ certificate to teach Business and Computer Applications.

Senior Programmer/Business Analyst, The Chubb Corporation.

Computer training, networking, tech support consultant for CMIT Business Solutions, and the Parsippany Troy-Hills School District.

Receptionist:  CAROLYN EVERETT

B.A., Psychology, Fairleigh Dickinson University; with credits toward M.B.A.  Certified Paralegal.   

Lower School Faculty 

Pre-Kindergarten Teacher: B.S., Home Economics, University of Louisville . Certified NJ Character Education Trainer.  

Kindergarten Teacher: B.S., Elementary Education, Penn State University .  Certification: New Jersey and Pennsylvania Elementary Education.  Early education training in Durham, England.  She is the Ski Program Director and the Technology Coordinator.

First Grade Teacher: B.S., University of Hartford.  Certification: Pre-K through 3rd Grade.  Has 22 years of teaching experience.

Second Grade Teacher:  B.A., Psychology, Rosemont College.  Certification: Teacher of the Handicapped, Cabrini College.   

Third Grade Teacher:  B.A., English, Theater; M.A., Secondary Education, University of Pittsburgh; M.S., Ethology and Environmental Science, Purdue University.  Certification: New Jersey Elementary Education and Secondary Education. 

4th Grade Teacher:  B.S. in family studies with a focus in Early Childhood Education from the University of New Hampshire.  Taught for 3 years in Los Angeles, CA, before coming to Wilson in 2004.

Middle School Faculty

Middle School Director:  B.A., DePauw University.  Writer for California Basic Skills Achievement Test.  Prior certification in Indiana and California.  

5th Grade Teacher: B.A., Elementary Education and Sociology, Caldwell College.  Certification: New Jersey Elementary Education.  

English / 6th Grade Teacher: M.S. Stevens Institute of Technology.  M.Ed, English, Framingham State College.  B.S. Philosophy, Lake Forest College.  Experienced in teaching middle school as well as secondary school and college.   Most recently taught English at Hebrew Academy for 3 years.

Art Teacher:  B.A., Fine Arts, Stockton State College. Certification:  Commercial Art.  Summer Program at Rhode Island School of Design.   

Computer Teacher: B.S. Business Administration, Bucknell University. Certified Technical Trainer. Experience in Computer Programming, Web Development, Computer Technical Support, Networking, Curriculum Development and  Educational Technology experience mentoring adults and children. Taught Computer Programming, Business and Multimedia classes at The Chubb Institute.

French & Spanish Teacher, Middle School: B. S.. Finance & Marketing, Boston College.  Graduated from Lycee du Berlaymont (Belgium).   Fluent in French & Spanish.

Music Teacher: B.A., Montclair State College.  Mannes College of Music.  Hofstra University.  NJ Certified Teacher of Music.  Taught music at Newark Academy and Gill St. Bernards School, as well as art and music for Somerset County Educational Services Commission.

Physical Education Teacher: B.A., M.A., William Paterson College.  Certified:  New Jersey Elementary Education. 

School Nurse and Health Teacher: AAS, County College of Morris.

Swimming Instructor:  B.S.E Elementary Education, K-6 Millersville University.  Red Cross water safety Instructor and a certified Pool Operator.  Interests include swimming in the ocean and skiing.
