MEDIA ALERT – STUDENT SCHOLARS COMPETE
FOR TOP HONORS

– Five top students at the
Wilson
School
in
Mountain
Lakes
will be competing among a field of
New Jersey
’s best and brightest at the Seton Hall Prep Pirate Open Academic Team
Tournament this Saturday, November 18, 2006.
Andrew Eckart, 8th grader from North Caldwell; Jake Lubin, 8th
grader from Montclair; Christopher DeBono, 7th grader from Madison;
Tim Kelly, 7th grader from Caldwell; Nick Farkas, 7th
grader from Basking Ridge; and Moderator Dan Rose, Language Arts Instructor,
will represent the Wilson School at the annual event.
Last year, 18 schools participated in this tournament. Each team of four
boys, plus an alternate, will go through three matches; and after these are
completed the eight teams with the highest number of total points will advance
to the playoffs.
Categories for the matches include: History, Geography, Math, Science,
Sports, and General Knowledge. Questions are designed to meet the grade level of
the participants.
“This is the first year the
Wilson
School
is participating. We are looking forward to enjoying the challenges of this
exciting academic competition,” according to Mr. Rose.
The
Wilson
School
, a Pre-K through Eighth grade independent school located in
Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, provides a highly academic program balanced by a diversity of athletics, fine
and performing arts.
