For Immediate Release

Mountain Lakes , New Jersey – Five top students at the Wilson School in Mountain Lakes will be competing among a field of New Jersey ’s best and brightest at the Seton Hall Prep Pirate Open Academic Team Tournament this Saturday, November 18, 2006.

Andrew Eckart, 8th grader from North Caldwell; Jake Lubin, 8th grader from Montclair; Christopher DeBono, 7th grader from Madison; Tim Kelly, 7th grader from Caldwell; Nick Farkas, 7th grader from Basking Ridge; and Moderator Dan Rose, Language Arts Instructor, will represent the Wilson School at the annual event.

Last year, 18 schools participated in this tournament. Each team of four boys, plus an alternate, will go through three matches; and after these are completed the eight teams with the highest number of total points will advance to the playoffs.

Categories for the matches include: History, Geography, Math, Science, Sports, and General Knowledge. Questions are designed to meet the grade level of the participants.

“This is the first year the Wilson School is participating. We are looking forward to enjoying the challenges of this exciting academic competition,” according to Mr. Rose.
