Educating Today's Children for Tomorrow's World!
Academic Excellence
Preparing your child for future success
We know parents want their children to be prepared to succeed and thrive in secondary school, college, and life.
Our teachers are committed to providing a challenging and encouraging learning experience for each child that is:
- Flexibly adapted to each child’s abilities, strengths, learning style and individual development needs.
- Thoroughly grounded in traditional "academic basics" - reading and language, mathematics, science, history and geography, and creative arts.
- Motivational, in helping children develop and foster the personal desire to continuously learn − in an environment that allows learning to be "fun."
- Appropriately rigorous in ensuring that children set and meet continuously higher standards for their own performance - so that accountability for successful achievement becomes a habit and a personal expectation.
Measuring Success
Our 8th grade graduates are routinely placed in advanced courses and accelerated programs when they enter the 9th grade.
We seek and take advantage of feedback from our graduates about their high school and college experience to continuously review and upgrade our academic curriculum.

Educating for the 21st Century
We also recognize that real learning has moved far beyond the "teaching of courses" in a content-centered curriculum. Our curriculum reflects the new 21st Century Skills children will need to master in order to succeed as adults in tomorrow's world.
The skilled use of technology — such as personal computers and SmartBoards — is a crucial component in children's learning experience, starting in Pre-K.
Our curriculum is integrated and interdisciplinary, so that children understand and appreciate the purpose, value and application of what they learn.
Academic preparation is tightly linked to the mastery of 21st Century Capabilities. In each grade, children develop the capabilities of:
- critical thinking
- creative innovation
- global awareness
- effective oral and written communication
- collaborative problem solving
